DITTE EJLERSKOV

CORNER SPACE, KARLAVÄGEN 15 B
APRIL – MAY 2026

New paintings by Ditte Ejlerskov are currently on view in our Corner Space, Karlavägen 15 B.

Ditte Ejlerskov has long imagined a mythical jungle that is not tied to any specific place, but exists in our shared imagination.
Recently, she has explored this theme through painting, searching for a visual language that meets a digital aesthetic. This forest has long lived within her, an inner world without fixed form, yet deeply rooted in myth and symbolism.
In her paintings, the jungle becomes a hybrid space, both living nature and something digitally coded. Electric green tones create the feeling of an artificial, almost pixelated language, like chlorophyll translated into code.
She calls this world New Gynæa. The name refers to New Guinea and comes from the Greek word gynæa, meaning “female.” It also draws on myths of Amazons and stories of female warriors at the edge of the world. These historical and mythological layers form the foundation of New Gynæa.
